Manny Machado Opts to Have Surgery

Dodgers orthopedic surgeon Dr. Neal ElAttrache will perform the surgery Monday.  The recovery time is expected to be anywhere from four to six months.

Bears Drop Giants to 0-6 with 27-21 Victory

Cutler threw two touchdown passes to Brandon Marshall, leading the Chicago Bears to a 27-21 victory over the winless New York Giants on Thursday night. The Bears intercepted Eli Manning three times, bringing his NFL-leading total to 15 on the season.

(8) Louisville Tops Rutgers 24-10

The Cardinals (6-0, 2-0 American Athletics Conference) had four interceptions off of Rutgers quarterback Gary Nova, who was also sacked eight times in the loss.  The defense also held Rutgers to just 12 yards rushing.
