Kirk Nieuwenheis led off the bottom of the 14th inning with a walk.  He advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt from Ruben Tejada.

Spurs Get Past Mavericks in Game 1, 90-85

The San Antonio Spurs defeated the Dallas Mavericks 90-85 on Sunday thanks in large part due to the performance of none other than Tim Duncan. Duncan scored a game-high 27 points in the game while Tony Parker added 21 points of his own. Manu Ginobili added in 17 points as well.

Flyers Rally Past Rangers, Even Series at 1-1

The Flyers beat the New York Rangers 4-2 to tie their series up at 1-1. After trailing 2-0 in the first period, it was the Flyers who controlled the rest of the game.

Tigers Release Shortstop Alex Gonzalez

Kersey/Getty Images (DETROIT) -- Shortstop Alex Gonzalez' tenure with the Detroit Tigers lasted just nine games as the team has released the veteran and purchased the contract of infielder Danny Worth from Triple-A-Toledo. Gonzalez was the Tigers Opening Day shortstop, he even had the game-winning hit in the ninth inning. But the team has decided to move on so early into the season.

Blackhawks Defenseman Brent Seabrook Suspended Three Games
