Derrick Rose Scratched from U.S. Exhibition Game

Rose originally was going to play in the game even though he missed practice Monday and Tuesday to rest his sore knees.


Giants Win Appeal, Will Resume Game with Cubs

According to ESPN, the Giants and Cubs will resume Tuesday's game Thursday at 5 p.m. ET, right before they play their regularly scheduled game later that night.

Indians 1B/OF Nick Swisher Has Knee Surgery

Swisher had the operation after getting a second opinion from Dr. Neil Elattrache in Los Angeles, who confirmed that the 33-year-old has chronic discomfort in both knees as a result of wear and tear.


Utley Leads Phillies over Mariners, 4-3
