The NCAA Tournament Not Kind to Gonzaga

gonzagabd3The NCAA Tournament wasn’t kind to either Gonzaga team. 11th-seeded James Madison pushed upset the sixth-seed Lady Gonzaga’s 72–63 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at College Station, Texas.

The Bulldogs cut the lead to six points with 1:39 left, but a pair of free throws extended the lead and James Madison held on for the win.

In men’s basketball, the Bulldogs were no match for the Wildcats in the final game of the Round of 32 in the NCAA 2014 tournament last night. #1 seeded Arizona dominated the game against the 8th seeded Gonzaga from the start. The Zags went to the lockerroom at halftime down 64–37, and couldn’t turn things around in the 2nd half. They lost by a final score of: 84–61.
