The NBA kicked off its new season last night with three games. Tonight the league goes all-out with 14 games. For the Magic, Lakers, Pacers and Heat, it's a quick turnaround as they all played last night. Among tonight's games, the new-look Brooklyn Nets open up in Cleveland. The Nets feature several Boston castoffs in Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett. The game also features the debut of Jason Kidd as the Nets coach.
At the same time, the new-look Celtics with new coach Brad Stevens are in Toronto to face the Raptors. Stevens as you might recall left Butler to join the pros and coach the Celtics.
For the first time in years, some people are giving the Washington Wizards a chance of winning a playoff berth this season. They open up tonight at Detroit against the Pistons who feature a new coach in Maurice Cheeks.
The refurbished Madison Square Garden is host to the Knicks-Bucks game. New York is eyeing a spot not just in the playoffs but to go deep in the 2014 playoffs.
Dwight Howard makes his debut as a member of the Houston Rockets. He joined the club in the off season after a tumultuous campaign with the Lakers.
And let's not forget the not so new team in New Orleans. Gone are the Hornets as the team has a new nickname, the Pelicans. They're home to the Pacers.
