The Pac-12 has eight bowl-eligible teams and could get up to 10 if Washington State and Utah finish strong. Problem is, the conference may have too many teams vying for bowl slots. The Pac-12 has seven bowl tie-ins, including the Rose Bowl. But with perhaps 75 or more teams eligible for the 35 bowls, some Pac-12 teams may get left out.
The 19 Washington State seniors who will be playing their final home game Saturday have been through some rough times on the football field. The team's record during their four seasons is 14-32. But this year's seniors are enjoying a season in which the Cougars are 5-5 and one victory away from qualifying for a bowl game. They host Utah on Saturday.
