Dos Santos Has Debut Goal, Assist As Galaxy Beat Seattle 3-1

CARSON, Calif. (AP) - Giovani dos Santos had a goal and an assist in an impressive MLS debut, leading the LA Galaxy to a 3-1 victory over the Seattle Sounders on Sunday.

Dos Santos set up captain Robbie Keane's tiebreaking goal in the 47th minute before the Mexican playmaker scored his first goal in the 64th minute, taking a beautiful pass from Keane and burying his shot past Stefan Frei.

Dos Santos started up front alongside Keane and took corner kicks as the Galaxy (11-7-7) officially unveiled the newest acquisition in their star-studded lineup. Dos Santos even lived up to the standard set by Steven Gerrard, who also had a goal and an assist in his winning MLS debut last month.

The sellout crowd gave a standing ovation when dos Santos left in the 69th minute.

Seattle dropped to 10-12-2.

Baldwin Says He Wishes Harvin Best Of Luck In Buffalo

RENTON, Wash. (AP) - Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin says he didn't know Percy Harvin felt threatened by the Seahawks' receivers during his time in Seattle.

Baldwin said Thursday he believed any lingering beef between himself and Harvin had been "squashed" before Harvin was traded from Seattle to the New York Jets in the middle of last season. Harvin and Baldwin had a physical altercation during the preseason last year.

In an interview with ESPN on Wednesday, Harvin said he never felt accepted by Seattle's receivers and that he "had to come in and be the guy to sit in the back of the room, not say too much, kind of walk on egg shells."
