Seattle Seahawks All-Pro free safety Earl Thomas played the Super Bowl with a torn labrum in his left shoulder and will need offseason surgery to repair the injury. David Mulugheta, Thomas' agent, confirmed the injury and need for surgery in an email to The Associated Press on Thursday. ESPN first reported Thomas needing surgery.
