The Beavers outscored USC 38-33 again in the second half Ruth Hamblin had 16 points and Jamie Weisner 15 as the Beavers shot 49.2 percent from the field. The Beavers completed a sweep of Southern California after Saturday's 65-47 win over UCLA. Petersen leads Oregon women past UCLA, 62-46
Lexi Petersen scored 19 of her 21 in the second half, and had a career-high nine assists, to lead Oregon to a 62-46 win over UCLA on Monday night. Lexi Bando scored 10 and Jillian Alleyne grabbed 15 rebounds for Oregon, helping first-year coach Kelly Graves get his first Pac-12 win. UCLA took a 24-17 lead into halftime, limiting the Ducks to just 7 of 34 field goals, including 3 of 20 from 3-point range. Amanda Delgado hit a pair of 3's and Bando and Petersen hit one apiece during a 15-3 Oregon run to open the second half to made it 32-27 with 13 minutes to play.
Lillard Scores 39 To Rally Blazers Past Lakers 98-94Damian Lillard scored 39 points and made the go-ahead basket with 36 seconds remaining as the Portland Trail Blazers rallied from a 10-point deficit in the second half to beat the Los Angeles Lakers 98-94 Monday night. Lillard hit four 3-pointers, and scored 16 points during the fourth quarter to lead the Blazers. He has scored at least 39 points in three of his past nine games. LaMarcus Aldridge added 21 points, and reserve center Meyers Leonard had 12 points and 12 rebounds for Portland. Jordan Hill led Los Angeles with 23 points and 14 rebounds. Five Lakers scored in double figures, including Jeremy Lin with 14 points. Kobe Bryant, the Lakers' leading scorer at 23.6 points per game, stayed home for a scheduled day of rest.
