Katie Hempen hit four 3-pointers and all seven of her free throws for a career-high 21 points, leading No. 18 Arizona State to its ninth-straight win as the Sun Devils beat Washington State 78-64 on Monday night. Kelsey Moos and Sophie Brunner each added 15 points and seven rebounds for the Sun Devils and Elisha Davis had 13. Washington State, which had a six-game winning streak snapped, was led by Lia Galdeira with 19 points and Tia Presley with 15. Sydney Wiese scored 19 points, 13 in the first half, to lead No. 11 Oregon State in a 76-66 win over USC in a Pac-12 match-up Monday night. Wiese got the Beavers out of the gate, scoring a layup 14 seconds into the game and following it with a 3-pointer, all in the first minute of play. She knocked down three 3s as Oregon State took a 38-33 lead. The Beavers outscored USC 38-33 again in the second half Ruth Hamblin had 16 points and Jamie Weisner 15 as the Beavers shot 49.2 percent from the field. Lexi Bando scored 10 and Jillian Alleyne grabbed 15 rebounds for Oregon, helping first-year coach Kelly Graves get his first Pac-12 win. UCLA took a 24-17 lead into halftime, limiting the Ducks to just 7 of 34 field goals, including 3 of 20 from 3-point range. Lillard Scores 39 To Rally Blazers Past Lakers 98-94

Damian Lillard scored 39 points and made the go-ahead basket with 36 seconds remaining as the Portland Trail Blazers rallied from a 10-point deficit in the second half to beat the Los Angeles Lakers 98-94 Monday night. Lillard hit four 3-pointers, and scored 16 points during the fourth quarter to lead the Blazers. He has scored at least 39 points in three of his past nine games. LaMarcus Aldridge added 21 points, and reserve center Meyers Leonard had 12 points and 12 rebounds for Portland. Jordan Hill led Los Angeles with 23 points and 14 rebounds. Five Lakers scored in double figures, including Jeremy Lin with 14 points. Kobe Bryant, the Lakers' leading scorer at 23.6 points per game, stayed home for a scheduled day of rest.
