Alcides Escobar opened the fourth with a single to right off Roenis Elias (4-5), who had retired the first nine batters. Moustakas followed with his seventh homer over the right-field wall.

Keane Leads Galaxy To 5-0 Victory Over Timbers

CARSON, Calif. (AP) - Robbie Keane scored on a penalty kick and added two assists, and Los Angeles scored five goals for the second straight match as the Galaxy routed the Portland Timbers 5-0 on Wednesday night. The victory broke a tie between the teams for third place in the Western Conference. The Galaxy (7-5-7) have never lost to the Timbers (7-6-4) in Carson in seven matches. The Timbers had a franchise-best four-game MLS win streak snapped. The Galaxy, coming off a 5-1 win over Philadelphia Union, scored three first-half goals against a team that had been giving up under one per game. Sebastian Lletget scored in the 13th minute and has a goal in each of his last three MLS starts. Keane converted in the 18th minute, and Robbie Rogers scored his first MLS goal since 2011 off a pass from Keane in the 33rd. Juninho scored in the 72nd off another Keane assist and Jose Villarreal added the final goal in the 87th minute on a direct kick. Portland's Liam Ridgewell was given a red card in the 78th. mariners whiteSEATTLE (AP) - Rookie Mike Montgomery tossed a four-hitter against the team that drafted him, Dustin Ackley singled, doubled and homered for his first three-hit game of the season and the Mariners beat the Royals 7-0 on Tuesday night. Montgomery (2-2) became the second Mariners pitcher this season to toss a complete game, joining Felix Hernandez.

Royals T 4-1 Win Over Mariners

marinersbaseball2015SEATTLE (AP) - Joe Blanton pitched six-plus innings of two-hit ball, Alcides Escobar had three hits and the Kansas City Royals beat the Seattle Mariners 4-1 on Monday night. Blanton (2-0) struck out seven and worked into the seventh inning before being lifted after allowing a leadoff double. Kelvin Herrera, Wade Davis and Greg Holland all pitched one inning of relief. Holland earned his 14th save in 15 opportunities.
