Washington State Gets By UC Davis 90-83

DaVonte Lacy led four Washington State players in double figures with 22 points in a 90-83 victory over UC Davis on Sunday. Josh Hawkinson had 18 points and 11 rebounds for the Cougars, who evened their record at 6-6 heading into Pac-12 Conference play. Que Johnson added 14 points, and Jordan Railey had 12. Corey Hawkins led UC Davis (9-2) with 29 points. The Aggies trailed by double figures most of the game after missing 13 of their first 16 shots. The Cougars sank 11 of their first 19 shots, including 7 of 9 from 3-point range, to lead 30-8 after 13 minutes. Jameel Warney banked in a short runner with 30 seconds left to give Stony Brook its first lead and the Seawolves beat No. 13 Washington 61-57 on Sunday night. Warney finished with 15 points, and Kameron Mitchell added 12 on 4-of-5 3-point shooting. Stony Brook (7-5) overcame a late 11-point deficit to stun the Huskies (11-1). Rayshaun McGrew cut it to three and Carson Puriefoy hit a 3-pointer from the left wing with 1:07 left to pull the Seawolves even at 57. Mitchell made three 3-pointers during the late run. Matthews, who leads the NBA with 106 3-pointers this season, made five 3s in the first half against the Knicks. Teammate Nicolas Batum had five 3-pointers and 17 points. It was the eighth straight loss for the Knicks, who had just nine available players to start the game, and then lost Carmelo Anthony for the second half because of a sore left knee. No. 8 Tennessee Women Beat No. 10 Oregon St 74-63

Center Isabelle Harrison had 20 points and 12 rebounds, and No. 8 Tennessee beat No. 10 Oregon State 74-63 on Sunday. Freshman Alexa Middleton added 12 points off the bench as the Lady Vols handed the Beavers (10-1) their first loss. Tennessee (10-2) has now defeated two straight top-10 opponents. The Lady Vols beat Stanford 59-40 on Dec. 20. Sydney Wiese led Oregon State with 19 points on 6-for-17 shooting. Ali Gibson added 14. Middleton scored six consecutive points midway through the second half, and her jumper from the top of the key with 8:10 to play gave the Lady Vols a 56-52 lead. Andersen Adds To Staff At Oregon State

Oregon State's Gary Andersen has added Dave Baldwin as offensive coordinator and Kevin McGiven as quarterbacks coach. The Beavers announced the staff additions Sunday. Baldwin spent the last three seasons as offensive coordinator at Colorado State. He previously worked with Andersen as offensive coordinator at Utah State from 2009-11, and had stints as a head coach at San Jose State and Cal State Northridge. McGiven has been Utah State's offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the past two seasons. Before that he served in the same capacity at Montana State. Baldwin and McGiven join assistant head coach and defensive coordinator Kalani Sitake, wide receivers coach Brett Brennan, offensive line coach T.J.
